Fun. Ready To Burn Bright At MTV Movie Awards
'It's an opportunity to have a performance that will be talked about forever,' band says of taking the Movie Awards stage on June 3.

Given that Fun. are the first musical act announced for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards, you'd think they'd be privy to all sorts of insider info on the big show, like potential hosts, nominees, etc. But, you'd be wrong. Turns out, they're just as much in the dark as the rest of us.
"We haven't heard anything. Who's going to be there?" frontman Andrew Ruess laughed. "Jackie Chan? Jon Bon Jovi? They better be there, for sure."
Sadly, we can't vouch for either gentleman's availability on June 3, when the Movie Awards air live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. But we can tell you that the guys in Fun. are planning on making the most of their time on stage, by going big with their performance of chart-topping smash "We Are Young."
"It's one of the most flattering things that's happened to us on this rollercoaster ride of this song and this album, because I just remember watching all those award shows — like the Video Music Awards and Movie Awards — and you always wonder like how they're doing it, what their big reveal is going to be, all those other type of things," Ruess said. "We've had meetings about how our set's going to be and what it's going to look like, and it's so exciting. It's so exciting how much effort MTV puts into this show, like, we have to show up and play the song, but they build this whole entire world around us, and it's so amazing."
"It's also an opportunity to have a performance that will be talked about forever," guitarist Jack Antonoff added. "Like, I still talk about [the 2000 VMAs], when Eminem had the thousand people dressed like him, or when Smashing Pumpkins did 'Tonight, Tonight' [at the '96 VMAs] ... these are moments that, for us, growing up, last forever, and if we could pull off something like that, it would be amazing."
And as if being tapped to perform at the 2012 Movie Awards wasn't already a big enough deal for the band, there's also the fact that they've got previous MTV awards-show experience ... though, to be fair, this will be the first time they've actually been invited to attend.
"I went to the Video Music Awards when I was 14. My friend from camp had a friend who had a dad who was involved, and we sat near Rebecca Lobo and the Spice Girls," Antonoff said. "It was the year that Fiona Apple gave the big speech, which, in hindsight, was pretty inspiring. My mind was blown, and I thought 'This is just filled with famous people, and somehow I'm in the middle of it.' So, to be able to go back to an MTV awards show — not through a friend of a friend who has a dad who works at Viacom — but to actually be invited, is an honor."
The 21st annual MTV Movie Awards air live Sunday, June 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

Justin Bieber Says He's 'Too Young' To Marry
'It doesn't mean Selena is not the right person though,' he says of waiting a bit before he ties the knot, to anyone.

<P><P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/gomez__selena/artist.jhtml">Selena Gomez</a> <a href="/news/articles/1683577/justin-bieber-selena-gomez-not-engaged.jhtml">denied engagement reports</a> last week. And it seems that the Biebs, at age 18, is definitely not ready to get married. Doing press in Europe to spread the message about his new album, <i>Believe,</i> he was asked if he was ready to walk down the aisle with his actress/singer girlfriend. </P><P> </P><P>"No, I'm too young. One day, I will get engaged, when I have found the right person in five or 10 years. It doesn't mean Selena is not the right person though!" he told <i>Le Parisien,</i> <a href="http://www.pressparty.com/pg/newsdesk/justinbieber/view/45711/?isworld=y" target="_blank">Pressparty.com</a> reports. "She's going to kill me if I say that!" </P><P> </P><P><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:757407/cp~vid%3D757407%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A757407" width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed> </P><P> </P><P>The singer then talked a bit about having people constantly speculate about his relationship with Gomez. "It is not easy to be so young and to have a relationship with someone that doesn't stay private," he said. "But, well, I am a public personality, it is what I wanted, so I have to deal with it." </P><P> </P><P>Earlier this year, Bieber opened up to MTV News about <a href="/news/articles/1680289/justin-bieber-18th-birthday-fan-questions.jhtml">wanting to be a young dad</a>. "I see myself in 10 years having a family," he said. "Twenty-eight, that's a good time to really have a family 'cause I want to be a young dad. Maybe, [it's a] long time away though. Don't get any ideas, people. It's not happening anytime soon." </P><P> </P><P>Well, perhaps if he follows his own <a href="/news/articles/1682957/justin-bieber-boyfriend-tips.jhtml">ground rules to being a great boyfriend</a>, then one day he really will make some special lady happy. "I don't know if I'm even the best boyfriend," Bieber said on the set of his video for "Boyfriend." "But I can give a few suggestions. I think being honest and patient, because girls can be tough sometimes, so you just got to be patient. That's two. Forgive, and have fun, because it's about having fun. Last one? Be faithful."</p></p>

First image of Sony NEX-F3 leaked, outs 16.1 MP sensor
Leave it to photography buffs to leak product shots that are decidedly unblurry, if poorly framed. Dpreview forum goer Bibogue outed a sneak peek at the Sony NEX-F3, a mirrorless shooter that seems to be poised to replace the NEX-C3. The leaked picture appears to reveal a 16.1 megapixel sensor, a built in flash and a 180-degree tilting screen, and Bibogue says the unit sports a new peaking level feature to help fine-tune manually focused shots. The new unit seems to retain its predecessor's proprietary accessory connector as well, so prospective buyers should choose their peripherals wisely.
[Thanks, Sjoer]

Acer Aspire V3 coming to Japan for $1,100 with right processor, wrong ppi
Want a 2.1GHz Ivy Bridge Core i7 in your next media laptop? Mmm, yes please. And a 1080p LED backlit display to devour movies on? Well, of course. Then keep looking, because the Acer Aspire V3 maxes out at just 1366 x 768 -- despite being equipped with a Blu-ray spinner and Dolby Theater v4, and also despite the eye-popping competition. Then again, at 15.6-inches that resolution might not be a total deal-breaker, plus our hands-on taster at CeBIT (before we even knew about the Ivy Bridge internals) wasn't totally unpleasant. The HD 4000 graphics should give you the odd gaming snack, even if not a full meal, while a 750GB HDD, up to 8GB RAM and a ton of I/O options take care of the back room. The V3 will hit Japanese shelves on April 29th for around $1,100 -- but watch out for a 17-incher too (which will do 1080p) plus cheaper Core i5 variants coming later.

TED-Ed website launches in beta, lets teachers customize video lessons
Last month, TED announced its new education initiative -- fittingly named TED-Ed -- with a YouTube channel showcasing teachers' lessons presented as animated videos. Today, the program moved forward, as TED opened up a beta version of a website meant to complement those lessons. Though there are plenty of study aides here, ed.ted.com is really about the grown-ups on the other side of the classroom. The site lets teachers with a TED account "flip" videos from TED-Ed and YouTube -- i.e., customize them to include multiple-choice and open-answer questions and links to additional info on a topic. Currently there are 62 videos and 238 "flips" available for viewing, but TED is gearing up for a full launch to be timed with the new school year in September.
