You can smell them a mile away?and that?s a good thing. The Hail BBQ Crew consists of two separate groups of Washington Redskins fans who decided to team up and become one of the DC area?s most energetic, vibrant and fun tailgates. Together they create the tastiest appetizers, drinks and desserts this side of the Potomac River all the while having a great time and showing their support for the Washington Redskins. The best part? You?re welcome to join in on the fun.

Meet The Hail BBQ Crew

The crew consists of 12 diehard Redskins fans each with their own titles, roles and memorable Redskins moments. There?s ?Tailgate? Ted, executive chef and key curator of many of the tailgate?s fabulous feasts who hasn?t missed a home game in more than 10 years. Jared is the chief of tailgate logistics, food prep and marketing who was in Dallas to see the Redskins make an epic 14-13 win against the Cowboys. There?s also executive sous chef Charles, co-chef Brad, line chefs Joe, Craig and Lee, bartenders Trey, JB Hammer and Lauren, head of security Kristina and tailgate photographer Denise, all who share the same intense passion and support for the hometown team.

You Can?t Miss ?Em

The Hail BBQ Crew sets up shop at the G20 parking marker, or where the Orange and Purple lots merge, right next to Arena Drive. With their Redskins-themed tents, signs, chairs, flags, jerseys, hats, aprons, games and tiki bar, they can?t be missed.

If you can?t find them among the sea of Redskins fans and tailgates, follow your nose to the scrumptious smells of barbecuing meats, baked chickens and deep-fried desserts. Previous tailgate menu items included bacon-wrapped filet mignon, RG3 layer dip, Italian sausages with burgundy and gold peppers and onions, Eli Manwiches, deep-fried Oreos and funnel cake. The crew also features game-day-inspired drinks and meals, like the Crushed Cardinals at the tiki bar and Clipped Falcon Wings (better known as buffalo wings) served at the 2012 Redskins/Falcons game.

Feel Free To Stop By

Whether the Redskins are playing well or not, the Hail BBQ Crew takes tailgating seriously. The crew heads on over to Arena Drive and gets the party started prior to the opening of the parking lots, which is four hours before the start of a game. Once the lots are open, the Hail BBQ Crew moves to their designated location and welcomes all Redskins fans to join in on the fun. Keep in mind though, Cowboys, Eagles and Steelers fans are not welcomed (sorry guys, it?s a divisional thing).

For fans who would like to see what?s cooking with the Hail BBQ Crew, visit the Hail BBQ Crew site and RSVP prior to a home game. That way the crew will ensure there is enough food and drinks for everyone. While there is no cost to attend the tailgate, donations are welcome. Like all good things, the party stops at least an hour before the scheduled kick-off time to allow crew members (and fans) to break the tailgate down and make it to their seats in time. For the best experience, come early to enjoy everything the Hail BBQ Crew has to offer.
