Easy Christmas Dinner Recipes | HGTV Gardens

Not sure what you?ll be having for Christmas dinner yet? There?s still time to plan a menu that delivers plenty of ?wow? factor with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Most of these easy holiday recipes are simple and take little prep time, which is great news if you?d rather be hanging out on the sofa playing with your gifts than spending all day in the kitchen! Please enjoy this menu made up of recipes from the experts at Food Network.

Pictured above: clockwise from left.

  1. Fig and Orange-Glazed Ham: Take your spiral sliced ham up a notch by glazing it with a combination of sweet fig jam and orange zest for bright holiday flavor.
  2. Cinnamon Apple Cranberry Sauce:??Why serve a glob of jelly out of a can when you can whip up this festive, sweet, and surprisingly easy version of cranberry sauce with just 10 minutes of prep time?
  3. Duchess Potatoes: I knew I had to make Ree Drummond?s recipe when I watched the Christmas episode of ?The Pioneer Woman? on Food Network. What a festive take on mashed potatoes!
  4. Creamed Spinach:?Add a little Popeye-power to your holiday table with this traditional, creamy side dish.
  5. Best Ever Green Bean Casserole:??Let?s face it: the traditional green bean casserole, with its canned cream-of-mushroom soup base, is hit-or-miss holiday fare. Some people love it, while others (like myself) pass it up every year. But what if there were a version that used fresh ingredients and didn?t look so, well, gloppy? Alton Brown to the rescue! His version calls for fresh mushrooms, broth and panko breadcrumbs for that signature crunch (which, really, is the whole point of the dish, right?)

Happy holidays and merry eating!
